The XPWR001 is a high-quality vacuum tube plate and filament power transformer is designed for Hi-Fi audio and guitar amplifiers.
EDCOR manufactures all transformers in their United States factory in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Design
The primary windings are tailored to the source voltage and frequency, while the secondary windings are calculated with a loss factor to ensure the specified voltage is achieved under full load.
Materials
EDCOR sources materials and parts from other U.S. manufacturers whenever possible, ensuring all components are RoHS and REACH compliant.
The bobbins are made from injection-molded nylon 6/6 with 30%-35% glass fibers for higher heat resistance. The coils use high-quality virgin copper magnet wire for low DC resistance. The steel cores are made from M6 line grain-oriented steel laminations, finished hand-stacked for optimal core performance.
Mounting
For secure mounting, this transformer includes steel powder-coated end bells that cab be mounting with screws to the chassis (see detailed in the dimensional drawing).
